We are excited to be planning a variety of events over the summer. From our regular STEAM academy, to exciting forensics camps, and a new family exploration day for younger children---a lot of STEAM fun will be happening at STARBASE Peterson.
Welcome to STARBASE Peterson! At our STEAM Academy located on Peterson Space Force Base, we aim to inspire our community's youth to learn and explore as they participate in fun, exciting, and challenging “hands-on, minds-on” activities in Science, Technology, Engineering & Art/Design, and Mathematics (STEAM). We also give our students a unique experience to interact with military personnel as they explore a variety of military and civilian careers and observe STEAM applications in the “real world.” STARBASE Peterson is the only STARBASE Academy in Colorado.
DoD STARBASE’s primary focus is the program for fifth graders. The goal is to motivate students to explore STEAM opportunities as they continue their education. The program encourages students to set goals and achieve them by providing 25 hours of exemplary hands-on instruction and activities that meet or exceed the National Standards.
At STARBASE Peterson, we strive to provide a fun, hands-on experience for every student. Our highly qualified staff of educators work hard to create an experience that is both memorable and educational. You can meet our incredible team here:
